The correct term for 'tarmac' is actually tarmacadam.
Tarmacadam is a mixture of tar and crushed stone and is a dark coloured, bituminous material that can be laid on almost any surface with the right preparation.
When properly compacted the stone aggregate is bonded by the tar to form a highly durable tarmacadam surface.
It is laid while hot and viscous, levelled and compacted, and then allowed to cool so that it binds to form a solid, hard-wearing surface.
It is the most economical option for driveways and large car parking areas..
With so many textures, colours, and patterns to choose from it makes choosing your new driveway or patio a joy.
